Water parks and waterslides offer families a cool place for summer fun. From Federal Way, to Blaine, or Grand Mound and Chelan, guests to Washington are sure to find refreshing fun during Washington summers. Wild Waves Theme Park – Federal WayLocated south of Seattle, the Wild Waves Theme Park in Federal Way, Washington offers visitors refreshing thrills and exciting rides. Wild Waves rides and water park make the park an attraction for all ages. The 24,000 sq ft. wave pool gives guests the feeling they areWA swimming in the ocean. The Wild Waves water park includes a family swimming pool, warm-up pool, wading pool, wave pool , raft rides and slides. The slides consist of a variety of heights and levels from tube slides, speed slides to the giant water slides. Wild Waves Theme Park is a favorite place for group outings, including youth groups, company picnics and field trips. The season pass is a good deal for Washington residents able to enjoy the park during the season. Daily general admission rates run from $20-30. Group tickets are also available for sale. Great Wolf Lodge Indoor Water Park – Grand MoundOne of the main attractions at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, Washington, located just outside of Centralia, is the large indoor water park. Guests staying at the lodge spend hours sliding down waterslides or relaxing poolside. From toddlers to teens or adults, the indoor water park offers something for every age. Adventurous thrillers include the River Canyon Run, the largest waterslide, dropping from six stories high. The five person raft allows entire families to enjoy in the fun together. This July 2009, the Tadpole Pond opens with a new outdoor pool and lounge area. Great Wolf Lodge is a fun vacation spot for Washington State visitors. Birch Bay Waterslides – BlaineJust near the United States-Canada border visitors find Blaine, Washington. Blaine's Birch Bay Waterslides are a favorite attraction during summer months. Birch Bay Waterslides include 4-acres of slides, rides and attractions. The four large slides are among the favorites for fun in the sun. More adventurous guests can try their nerves on the 60 foot Hydrodrop Speed Slide or the Black Hole Tube Slide. Other water park attractions, perhaps more family-friendly options, include the river ride, wide-ramp slide and slides for kids. Admission to the Birch Bay Waterslides is reasonable, with a full day of fun costing less than $20. Group rates and season passes are also available for quite a good deal. The park is open from 10am to 6pm each summer day until Labor Day. Slide Waters – Lake ChelanLocated near Wenatchee, Lake Chelan is a popular vacation spot. In the town of Chelan, Slidewaters water park and slides is a great place where guests cool off during the hot Central Washington summers. The park offers 10 water slides, pools, a 60-person spa and lots of room for picnics. Adventurous guests try "Thunder Rapids" river ride, sliding down waterfalls and rapids in groups of four. The Downhill Racer is great for downhill side by side racing. The 400' "Tube Blaster" is also perfect for thrills. Intermediate slides and 2 kiddie slides are also available for those wanting more to cool off or relax.
